[1]Jim Powell works as an independent energy consultant to states, local governments and industry. He retired in February 2007 after a 35 year career with the United States government. Prior to retiring, Jim served as a Senior Executive with the U. S. Department of Energy (DOE) managing a number of initiatives and a budget of over $300 million.
Jim will be a voice for the people in the Public Service Commission, something it has been lacking for many years. He is committed to making Georgia a better place to live and work and would use his experience to work toward a cleaner better future for all Georgians.
