Camden County Food Distribution Project

Location

In Camden County, food is distributed to needy families in 3 different locations. They distribute in Waverly at the Mount Orum Baptist Church on Mount Orum Lane and in Woodbine at the Housing Authority Community Room, 300 Georgia Avenue. Volunteers have signed up for these two locations, but we could really use some help in St. Mary.

The distribution in St. Mary will likely be at the Greater Trinity United Methodist Church, 900 Osborne, St. Mary, GA. The truck arrives around 8 a.m. on July 7th. Otis Griffin, the social worker on staff, may be able to use some help unloading the truck, but this requires heavy lifting, so many volunteers may not be able to help with unloading. Bagging and sorting will begin around noon on the 7th and continue on the 8th if necessary. Distribution will be on July 10th and begin around 8 or 8:30. Volunteers will be needed for each part of this activity.
